Scope of Cardiology Services On Campus:

• General Adult Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Disease Management, Arrhythmia Management, Pacemakers, Congestive Heart Failure Management
• Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary Intervention
• Diagnostic Peripheral/Carotid/Mesenteric Angiogram, Peripheral Arterial Intervention
• Echocardiography, Pericardialcentesis, Myocardial Biopsy
• Permanent Pacemaker, Loop Recorder Implant, AICD Implant
• Holter and Event Monitor

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky. A modern, state-of-the-art facility, the hospital offers cardiac care and an advanced neurosurgery program with Spine Center accreditation. The hospital also has a complete clinical laboratory, 24-hour ER, intensive care units, surgical services (including orthopedic and urological), and diagnostic imaging. Other specialty services include women’s and children’s services, a Level II neonatal nursery, cardiopulmonary services, behavioral health unit, and inpatient rehabilitation. In 2014, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital began welcoming Internal Medicine Residents to the hospital for their three-year residency training. This new Residency Program expanded to include Family Practice Residents in 2015, and resulted in 36 physician residents and their families living in our community each year, while they work and learn alongside our medical staff at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and Lake Cumberland Medical Associates (LCMA).
