Onslow Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to lead our Emergency Department. Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO): Board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensure: Eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the Emergency Department, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Clinical Oversight: Ensure high standards of clinical care are maintained and oversee the treatment of approximately 52,000 patients annually. 
• Operational Management: Manage the regular operations of the Emergency Department, including physician scheduling, staffing, and resource management to ensure optimal patient flow and care.
• Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
• Education and Training: Support the professional development of the medical team through ongoing education, training, and mentorship.
• Collaboration: Work closely with hospital administration, other departments, and community partners to support the hospital’s mission and strategic goals.
