Job Description

ECU Health Physicians is seeking a BC Ophthalmologist that lives in North Carolina to help provide call coverage for their team at ECU Health Medical Center.  Provider will need to come in the day before scheduled for orientation.

Coverage Need:  2024

September 17, 8AM – September 24, 8AM

  Details:

  • Will need to evaluate all hospital and ED consults, including evaluation and surgical treatment of trauma
  • Inpatient and outpatient only
  • 24-call
  • Provider must be within 20 minutes within ECU Health Medical Center while on call
  • EPIC trained preferred
  • Anticipated volumes/day: 5-8
  • Average patients/provider:  5-6
  • Provider will not respond to codes
  • No ICU/Critical Care duties
  • List of required procedures:  repair ruptured globe, repair eyelid lacerations, remove corneal foreign body
