Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology, Stroke in Miami, Florida

The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is in search of a non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track for the Cerebrovascular Division, Department of Neurology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Strong clinical and research background in Cerebrovascular Diseases
• Involved in clinical care of patients at the UHealth clinics, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital
• Participate in research projects, educational and mentorship activities of the Cerebrovascular Division and the Department of Neurology
• Care for patients in the Jackson Health System inpatient settings
• Train/mentor physicians, staff,
• Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
• Develop a research program in Cerebrovascular Diseases
• Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
• Stroke Neurology Fellowship is preferred
• Board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended
• Eligible for Florida medical license
• Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
