Staff Gastroenterologist in Miami, Florida

The University of Miami Health Center, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a UMMG Staff Physician, Gastroenterologist.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, as well as rounding/teaching on inpatients at UHealth Towers, and Jackson Memorial Hospital
• Responsible for providing direct inpatient and outpatient care to GI patients at UHealth Locations and Jackson Memorial Hospital
• Perform Core and non-core endoscopic services to patients, required
• ERCP, Enteroscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound required, preferred in addition POEM and ESD  
• Maintain outpatient clinic schedule 
• Weekly, holiday, and weekend call proportionate to other GI providers, and in addition provide advanced endoscopic call proportionate to other advanced endoscopic physicians
• Rotate on night and weekend call proportionate to other faculty 
• Rotate proportionate to other faculty on inpatient and JMH teaching services 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MD/DO
• ACGME US Internal Medicine internship and residency
• ACGME US Gastroenterology fellowship 
• Non-ACGME Advanced Endoscopy fellowship 
• Provide case logs for core and non-core endoscopic procedures (2 years) 
• BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply  
• Valid DEA licensure 
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
