Pediatric Intensivist

$25K Start Date Bonus - Seeking FT Pediatric Intensivist in Summerville, SC!

Envision Physician Services has an opportunity for a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist for our inpatient pediatric and pediatric critical care practice at Summerville Medical Center (SMC) in Summerville, SC. Summerville Medical Center is home to the busiest Pediatric Emergency Room in South Carolina and is staffed with Peds EM trained physicians. Pediatric subspecialty support includes onsite Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, and Anesthesia, with telemedicine coverage for Pediatric Cardiology. There is active recruitment for a remote telemedicine Pediatric Neurology service. The hospital has hopes of further developing their PICU program to serve as the best choice for pediatric care in the Summerville and surrounding areas.

• Staffing Model: 2 Pediatric Intensivists to evenly share call coverage
• Schedule: flexible call schedule to accommodate family and personal needs
  • In-house during the day
  • Call from home at night
• Teaching: a family practice residency program is scheduled to begin this year, with active resident participation in rounds
• Coverage includes PICU/General Pediatrics, along with Consults from ER
  • 6-beds with 2 observation beds
  • 2022 Peds/PICU Admission/Census Data:
    • 504 Admissions
      • 434 Pediatric Admits; 70 PICU Admits
    • ADC: 4
