OPPORTUNITY DETAILS

Mount Carmel – one of the largest health systems in central Ohio – is seeking a BC/BE Geriatrician for an Assistant/Associate Program Director role within our Geriatric Fellowship. Opening is full-time (or potentially part-time) hospital-employed position.

Candidate will assist with geriatric consults at Mount Carmel East and Mount Carmel Grove City hospitals along with PGY2 fellows, as well as direct education and recurrent assessment of the fellows and internal medicine residents. Conducting M&M conferences, journal clubs, didactics, and participating in research and other scholarly activities with the fellows is expected.

As a newer fellowship program, applicant’s energy and creativity are important in this role. Ideal candidate would be comfortable promoting the growth of the fellowship and overall geriatric department networking, recruitment efforts and navigating the system on their own. In addition, applicant should be self-directed and accountable, as there is quite a bit of autonomy and flexibility in the geriatric schedule.

The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience.
