COMMITMENT TO QUALITY:
Shannon was founded on a legacy of caring. We are a locally owned health care system dedicated to providing exceptional health care for our family, friends, and neighbors. Shannon is located in the Concho Valley, a region of Texas between the Permian Basin to the northwest, Chihuahuan Desert to the southwest, Osage Plains to the northeast and Central Texas to the southeast. This geographical crossroads – plus the confluence of the three branches of the Concho River – has created a unique and special place in North America. A virtual oasis, San Angelo is home to three lakes, as well as the beautiful Concho River, which runs through the heart of the city.
Our unique patient population, breathtaking geography and cohesive team make this a one-of-a-kind practice opportunity! Our physicians work together to ensure our patients receive the most compassionate, personalized and efficient healthcare possible. Our collaborative culture enables our physicians to have a positive influence on healthcare delivery in the communities they call home.
In this role, Emergency Medicine physicians must evaluate a wide variety of ailments, sometimes with little to no information. They must be able to think and act quickly to make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment. You will resuscitate and stabilize patients and transition care to an appropriate endpoint whether that be the ICU, general inpatient bed, another provider, another hospital, or home.
Work Schedule: Nocturnist, 12 shifts per month, and overtime.
Qualifications: Shannon Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician who is collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills to join our exceptional team in beautiful San Angelo, TX. Our team consists of 20 BC Emergency Medicine physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Professionals. 50,000-60,000 visits per year with fast track. Our two emergency departments are a Level III Trauma facility that consists of 36 beds downtown and 20 beds at South Campus plus we have 35 subspecialties.
