Kaiser Permanente; Oakland, California
Seeking Fellowship-Trained Laryngologist
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a board-certified/board eligible fellowship trained Laryngologist to join an established Laryngology practice replacing a departing partner within a comprehensive Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery department in Oakland, California. This is a unique opportunity to assume a very busy regional referral-based practice in laryngology including airway, dysphagia, and voice, as well as general otolaryngology in an integrated health-care system. Our medical center features a laryngology suite with a complete array of Pentax equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic in-office laryngeal procedures. In addition, our laryngologist enjoys the support of Speech Pathologists well-trained in voice disorders and support for laryngeal procedures.
The current twelve OHNS physicians and four advanced practice providers in the department provide a full range of services including general otolaryngology, otology/neurotology, endocrine surgery, sleep surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, facial plastics and reconstructive surgery, rhinology, and head and neck oncologic surgery. We work closely with our colleagues in maxillofacial surgery, audiology, speech therapy and others within and outside of the East Bay Head and Neck Surgery Department. Our department also enjoys an ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology residency program with 2 residents per year and graduate medical education support. The incoming laryngologist is expected to participate in resident teaching and contribute to the scholarly activity of the department.
