Prn Obgyn Opportunity

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking board-eligible/board-certified OB-GYNs to provide occasional 24-hr (7A-7A) call coverage. We seek skilled and experienced physicians who maintain a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients.

A Provider will round on patients and be on-call for emergency C-sections and vaginal deliveries. A Provider is expected to also be available for any emergent GYN procedures. High-risk deliveries will only be emergent as our facility does not have a NICU. High-risk transfers to New Hanover or Cape Fear Valley; approximately 30-45 minutes away.

A Physician would be expected to provide solo call coverage.

Highlights include:

• Average of 27 deliveries monthly w/ a monthly average of 11 C-Sections
• 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum rooms
• Nursery is Level 1; Critical newborns are transferred west to Fayetteville (30 miles) or southeast to Wilmington (60 miles)
• Strong hospitalist team with excellent leadership
• 24/7 on-call anesthesiology and radiology support
• Wide scope of services provided at the hospital including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology
• Provider will be offered hospital-owned apartments adjacent to our facility
• Call time will be approximately 20 min response time

Recent grads will be considered, but no visa candidates will be considered at this time.
