In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at Banner - University Medicine Tucson is actively seeking Board Certified Radiologist subspecialists in neuroradiology, breast imaging, musculoskeletal, cardiothoracic, or interventional radiology. The selected physicians will have an established record of clinical and service excellence, research experience, and/or interest in graduate medical education.
The University of Arizona has a strong tradition of clinical care excellence with the Department of Radiology founded on technology innovation and education. The Body Imaging Division is rapidly expanding and driven by advanced imaging diagnostics, with newly installed, state of the art MRI and CT systems. Our practice is founded upon translational sciences and education, covering the full array of diseases of the chest, abdominal and pelvis, including vascular and cardiac imaging. Our practice is interdisciplinary with active conferencing across the spectrum of specialties including expanding transplantation and oncology services. The clinical case load serves as an excellent resource for our training programs, which include a Diagnostic Radiology residency and a fellowship training program in Body Imaging. The Department of Medical Imaging has a strong tradition of imaging research, with 18 research faculty and many cross-appointed faculty in Biomedical Imaging, Optical Physics, Biochemistry and Chemistry and 14,000 sq ft of dedicated research space in the Department, providing a fertile ground for translational research.
The Department of Medical Imaging provides clinical service to Banner – University Medicine Tucson which includes the sole Level 1 Trauma Center in southern Arizona, the Diamond Children’s Medical Center, University of Arizona Cancer Center, Medical Center South, University Medical Imaging and other community sites throughout Arizona. The department has a strong research core and is undergoing major investment in facilities and advanced technology.
