The University of Missouri Department of Surgery is seeking a dynamic candidate to further expand the Division of Pediatric Surgery to align with significant clinical growth and completion of a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital opening in 2024.  A Comprehensive Maternal Fetal Care Center is under development through a unique partnership between the Departments of OB and Surgery and will further enhance the opportunities for patients in Central Missouri.  Well established multidisciplinary clinics including Fetal Counselling, Chest Wall Malformation,  Vascular Malformation, Motility Clinic and an Aerodigestive Care provide unique opportunities for multidisciplinary surgical care.

Qualifications & Job Details: 

  • BC/BE in Pediatric Surgery (For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board eligible are considered experienced.)
  • Teaching and funded research are highly encouraged and well supported through the Department and the MU NextGen precision health center. 
  • The Division boasts a broad based Pediatric Surgical practice including: 
    • Neonatal
    • Colorectal
    • Transplant
    • Oncology
    • Robotic
    • Single incision/ minimally invasive
    • Laparoscopic and Thoracoscopic surgery

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Subspecialty training in pediatric surgery is highly desired.
  • A passion for resident and medical student education.
