Pediatric Neuropsychology

 

The University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time pediatric neuropsychologist to join the Division of Pediatric Psychology in the Department of Pediatrics. The clinically-focused faculty member will collaborate to develop and deliver integrated pediatric neuropsychology services to support patients receiving care through the University of Missouri Health Care (UMHC), particularly the Children’s Hospital, Pediatric and Adolescent Specialty Clinics, and Children’s Therapy Center.

Job Details & Responsibilities

  • Inpatient and outpatient services to include inpatient consultation and brief assessment, comprehensive outpatient evaluations, individual and family interventions, and participation in multi-disciplinary clinics.
    • Patient populations include children with a variety of acute, chronic, and complex healthcare needs and their families.
  • Regular collaboration with a range of medical specialists and multi-disciplinary teams, as well as frequent coordination with pediatric therapy providers including occupational, speech-language, and physical therapists.
  • Clinical supervision of doctoral students from MU's APA-accredited clinical, counseling, and school psychology programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a doctoral degree from an APA-approved program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
  • Completion of pre-and post-doctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology.
  • Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Missouri

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Pediatric rehabilitation psychology/neuropsychology
  • Inpatient consultation
  • Multi-disciplinary teams
  • School consultation,
  • Evidence-based interventions with medical populations.
