Summary:
The Night Physician is responsible for admitting, as well as responding to the needs of, patients admitted to the hospital to ensure that patient care is delivered in an efficient and effective manner. He/She prioritizes to identify opportunities for improving patient outcomes, contributes to timely hospital discharges, and facilitates communication with PCP’s, specialists, hospital staff, patients and families. He/She collaborates with the hospital interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate progression through the continuum of care for patients.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Current licensure as a Physician in the State of Missouri.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Must be organized, customer focused and have the ability to develop positive relationships.
Must be goal oriented and operate effectively in a self-directed manner. Strong communication
and problem-solving skills are required.
3 – 5 years of recent clinical experience with utilization review experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Employee is required to sit frequently and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a medium (21-50 lbs.) load occasionally. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, kneel, and lift. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. Employee may be required to do simple grasping and pushing/pulling.
