Lexington Medical Center is seeking BC Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians to work in our Urgent Care Network. We proudly serve the Midlands of South Carolina with 5 strategically located Urgent Care Centers and will be opening our sixth location in January 2024.

Lexington Medical Center Cayce is a brand new, 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Cayce, South Carolina. It provides community members with Urgent Care, Imaging, and Lab services. This new facility allows Lexington Medical Center to provide walk-in care to patients primarily in the Cayce and West Columbia area of the Midlands. Our Urgent Care Centers are accredited through the Urgent Care Association.

Position Highlights:

• No Night Time Hours
• Provider staffing includes APPs as well as an all RN clinical staff
• Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day
• Full complement of Lab and Imaging Services available including CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray
• Full spectrum of specialty care support including a premier heart and vascular center and robust general surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopedics programs

When Lexington County Hospital opened in 1971 as a nonprofit hospital, it quickly became a healthcare leader. More than 50 years later, we continue to serve our community as a local, independent, nonprofit hospital.

A History of Firsts

We were the first area hospital with satellite health facilities and established the first community health education department. We opened the state’s first satellite outpatient facility with services including surgery, urgent care, lab, radiology and physical therapy.

Growing to Meet Needs

By the 1980s, the now-called Lexington Medical Center offered community programs including education on managing disease and learning healthcare skills, such as newborn care and home nursing.

In the 1990s, we established four community medical centers in small towns around Lexington County to provide residents with easier access to top-notch healthcare. In 2001, we opened our largest community medical center in Lexington. The center is larger than the hospital was in 1971.
