The Ochsner Cancer Institute and Gayle & Tom Benson Cancer Center of Ochsner Health is actively recruiting additional BC/BE HEMATOLOGIST ONCOLOGISTS to join our group of 35+ staff physicians as we expand our practices in BATON ROUGE, KENNER and NEW ORLEANS, including Ochsner BAPTIST, SLIDELL and WEST BANK REGIONS.
The Ochsner Cancer Institute is a multi-site program leading cancer care across Louisiana and the Gulf South – from Lake Charles, Louisiana into coastal Mississippi. Aside from inpatient and outpatient patient care responsibilities, candidates have the opportunity to participate in or develop clinical research studies, teach fellows and residents, and contribute to the development of the program. Subspecialty interest is encouraged but not required for consideration for the New Orleans Main Campus positions. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in hematology and oncology.

• Participation in the region’s largest clinical trials program, featuring the Precision Cancer Therapies Program, the only phase 1 cancer drug development program in the Gulf South
• Coordination with a large integrated cancer program offering a full range of destination services: bone marrow transplantation, adoptive cellular therapies (coming in 2021), & surgical oncology support in all disciplines
• Inpatient consultation only with full Hospital Medicine support.
• Research and teaching opportunities available, including participation in the Ochsner Hematology/Oncology fellowship program
• EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the Ochsner Health System with large data warehouse for clinical research and quality improvement
