Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Program Medical Director, to lead the expansion of its Heart Failure Program. This program includes advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. Sentara Heart Hospital is the region’s first and only dedicated heart hospital. This exceptional facility carries on Sentara Norfolk General’s tradition for cardiac excellence by consistently ranking among the nation’s top 50 heart programs in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual hospital rankings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates for this position should be Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology with a minimum of three to five years of experience in a center active in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.
• M.D., licensed to practice medicine in Virginia
