Opportunity Details

Southwest Medical Associates is looking for a BC/BE physician with ER experience to join us on a supplemental basis in Refugio, TX. Located About 45 miles north of Corpus Christi, this hospital serves a rural community and provides top quality care for a diverse population. 

  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • 20 Hospital Beds, 3 ER Beds
  • 12 hour shifts, with options to do consecutive shifts
  • Requires: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
  • 30% Pediatrics, 40% Geriatrics, 5-10% Trauma, 20-25% Other
  • Staff Physicians: 1-FP, 1-IM, 1-GS
  • Patient Volume: 12 to 15 pts per day
  • Open for 2nd & 3rd year residents! 
  • Referral Centers: Corpus Christi, Citizens and De Tar Hospitals-Victoria
