Neurologist (Multiple Sclerosis) - Mercy Health - Toledo, OH

Mercy Health northern market based in Toledo, OH seeks  seventh Neurologist.   

Job Description:

This position consists of 3 components:  

• Building upon and growing our current MS program/practice and providing some general neurology OP care including incorporating virtual visits and open to extending ambulatory access to 2-3 Neurology locations for general neurology/MS patients if needed . As the program grows there may be additional OP access sites that require physician flexibility for coverage. 75-80% proportion of work load on average. 
• Providing inpatient rounding service/call as part of an equitable rotation with partners.   There are 2 rounding services - St. Vincent Hospital (level1 trauma center) and a metro service (includes 3 small community hospitals within 10 miles apart - St. Charles, St. Anne, & Perrysburg Hospitals).   20-25% proportion of work on average. 
• 3. Resident Teaching and Clinics - Includes providing didactics, 1/week resident clinic and teaching during rounding services, journal clubs and providing a minimum of 1/yr grand rounds presentation. 

Optional but available:   research support

Future scope:   The group is working to build a Teleneurology service for internal and external hospitals.   As the group grows, they are interested in making this a rotation.
