Northeastern Radiation Oncology (NERO) is a physician-owned group serving the community of northern New York State from the Capital District to the Adirondack Mountains-currently serving three hospitals in Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, and Schenectady respectively. With roots in the area of over 30 years, the Radiation Oncologists of NERO provide exceptional care and expertise to patients seeking treatment across all disease sites. Through robust collaboration with a spectrum of medical services and specialties, the group consistently maintains a high-volume practice with a deep referral base.

NERO provides a full suite of services including SRS, SBRT, HDR brachytherapy, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, and radionuclide therapy. External beam therapy is delivered through both Varian and Elekta linacs, with brachytherapy accomplished via Varisource and GammaMed HDR units at two of the three sites. Custom bolus 3D printing is rendered by .decimal and Adaptiiv platforms. SpaceOAR hydrogel and fiducial (both gold and Calypso beacon) placement for prostate cases is performed by the radiation oncologists. Software available includes Aria and Mosaiq, as well as Eclipse, Velocity, and Pinnacle, Radformation and C-RAD. All sites have a dedicated complement of support staff including physics, dosimetry, therapists, and nursing.
