Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is searching for physicians that enjoy providing direct patient care in a large group practice setting, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in clinical research programs. We are currently expanding our Adult Congenital Heart program which was founded in 2005 and continues to steadily grow each year.

We are seeking a BC/BE cardiologist specializing in Adult Congenital Heart Disease to join our team. You will work in conjunction with 3 congenital heart surgeons, 2 pediatric cardiologists and adult congenital heart disease boarded specialists. We have an active adult heart transplant program with 6 adult orthotopic heart transplant/LVAD cardiologists.

The Department of Cardiology includes over 80 cardiologists as members of the Ochsner Health’s John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute, practicing at 5 community locations (Baton Rouge, Kenner, Covington, Slidell, and Marrero) and at our academic medical center in New Orleans. 

Ochsner has 2 medical schools, including the Ochsner Clinical School affiliated with the University of Queensland in Australia and the Ochsner/LSU-Shreveport Medical School, and our ACGME accredited Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology training programs offer the opportunity to engage in research, and to teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows.
