Avita Health System is located one hour south of Cleveland and one hour north of Columbus. Avita has three not-for-profit hospitals - Bucyrus Hospital, Galion Hospital and Avita Ontario Hospital - and over 30 supporting medical clinics. As the largest employer in Crawford County, Avita has approximately 1700 employees who share the ultimate goal of providing the best healthcare to North Central Ohio. 

Avita’s Governance Philosophy:
Although Avita’s growth over the past several years has been tremendous, Avita Health System will remain locally governed. Avita’s Board is comprised of local residents who live in the community. It is important that the strategic decisions are determined by individuals who live in the areas that Avita serves.

With hundreds of acres of city and county parks for hiking, fishing, tennis and more, we are ideally located near four major Ohio cities: Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, and Mansfield. 

We have six golf courses within seven miles, and are less than 45 minutes to Snow Trails skiing.

Local Universities include North Central State College and the Mansfield branch of The Ohio State University.
