Opportunity Detail

These two full time Family Medicine positions are full spectrum and may include OB if desired. We offer a full spectrum family practice located in the heart of the Kickapoo Valley in Southwest Wisconsin. The Family Medicine Physician will practice in a beautiful and modern clinic facility constructed in 2015 proudly serving patients of all ages, newborn to geriatric. 

The desired provider team will consist of three (3) physicians and three (3) advanced practice providers. The La Farge team of providers are dedicated to serving the community in which they live, providing care for those who live in a largely underserved area.

The team is looking for a motivated Family Medicine Physician who is interested in being part of a full spectrum, collaborative medical practice. Duties include seeing patients in the clinic, area nursing homes, local hospital, and occasional home visits. The La Farge Medical Clinic is also home to the Center for Special Children, a service offered as a part of the provider-based rural health clinic staffed by a pediatrician with a medical genetics fellowship and dedicated to serving patients from the Amish/Mennonite communities with genetic and metabolic disorders.

  • OB coverage approximately 1:5 weeks
  • Hospital coverage approximately 1:8 weeks
  • No Saturday rotation
  • La Farge Medical Clinic provides a telephone answering service to patients after clinic hours. A rotation is shared among the 4 LaFarge Medical staff to receive phone calls if clinical situations warrants.

In the heart of Wisconsin’s Driftless Region, the community of Viroqua offers breathtaking scenery and a vibrant arts scene at the edge of the Ocooch Mountains. Adventurers can enjoy trout fishing and hiking through the unglaciated terrain before exploring restaurants and coffee shops downtown, many of which are supplied by the abundance of organic farms in the area.
