Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Springdale, Arkansas seek a full-time pediatric otolaryngologist as part of a blended academic – ambulatory healthcare model.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position would join a practice of seven pediatric otolaryngologists—six providing coverage primarily at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock and one at the Arkansas Children’s Northwest location in Springdale, AR.
Physicians will be able to manage all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology that does not require an intensive care unit (PICU will be available in the future). The practice has a high volume of pediatric sinus, otology, head and neck, and general Otolaryngology cases.
This boutique practice is perfect for either a new or experienced pediatric otolaryngologist and will be hired by UAMS as an assistant or associate professor level depending on experience. This active, growing practice includes a full time pediatric otolaryngologist, an experienced nurse practitioner and dedicated specialty nurse support. Audiology, Speech, Nutrition, PT, and respiratory therapy services are on site. Pediatric hospitalists cover inpatients as needed. Call duties are shared with a local Otolaryngology practice. Academic support will be through the university including support for research and education.
This brand new children’s hospital is located in one of the fastest growing regions in the country, with many local amenities, and abundant natural resources. Northwest Arkansas is a highly desirable area that is home to Walmart, Tyson Foods, Crystal Bridges Museum, and the University of Arkansas.
