Opportunity Details

Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock (BHMC-LR), in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking an additional BC/BE Stroke Neurohospitalist to join an established Advanced Primary Stroke Center. This recruitment need is based on growth and application for Comprehensive Stroke Center designation. 

Daily requirements for the position will include:

  • Consulting and assisting in the management of stroke patients in the Emergency Department, ICUs, and Medical/Surgical floors
  • Overseeing the administration of IV thrombolytics
  • Seeing stroke service patients in follow-up in the outpatient neurology clinic located on campus
  • Assisting in quality/safety/efficiency issues impacting the care of the stroke patients at our facility
  • Practicing evidence-based stroke management in accordance with the AHH/ASA guidelines.

The successful physician candidates will work with an established neurohospitalist group, interventional neurologists, and a well-established group of neurosurgeons. 

The ideal candidates will be a physician who is enthusiastic about stepping into an already robust program and continuing to grow the practice. The work schedule will be seven on/seven off with equitable after hours call. 

BHMC-LR is an 827-bed facility and the flagship of the eleven hospital Baptist Health System. AHG is the employed physician group for Baptist Health. This is an employed opportunity with AHG and the base salary is $450k along with a complete benefits package. There is additional bonus potential based on wRVUs. The physician may typically have  15-20 inpatient encounters per day.
