Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) is in the midst of building a $156 million world-class cancer center on 300 acres in Detroit, Michigan with expected completion in the summer of 2020.  With this growth, Henry Ford Hospital & Henry Ford Cancer Institute (HFCI) is currently recruiting a full-time, board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist for its busy, well-established accredited hospital-based, academic practice with a hematology/oncology fellowship program. HFCI is a destination site for ambulatory cancer treatment, precision medicine, clinical trials and research, and enhanced support services for cancer patients.  The Institute’s approach to operations provides for a robust hub and encompasses a team approach to cancer care, with multiple locations and providers who seamlessly communicate with each other, and have access to advanced treatment options such as Precision Medicine, with satellites located throughout Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan. The highly motivated team at HFCI utilizes a personalized, innovative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and evaluation of outcomes.

An integral part of this enterprise is the FACT accredited Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program performing both autologous, and allogeneic related & matched unrelated donor transplants, along with cord blood stem cell and haploidentical transplants.

The Division is an active member of SWOG, and oversees a comprehensive portfolio of cooperative, investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials, with an active and growing Phase 1 program.

We are looking for individuals with either a broad interest in Malignant Hematology and Medical Oncology, and/or a focus towards a specific tumor type.

This person will join a team of 26 full time clinical staff, in addition to Research, Psychoncology & Supportive Oncology faculty, and APPs.  The Division is responsible for providing medical care to patients, teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and 12 fellows, and overseeing advanced care practitioners.

Requirements:

  • Must be board certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Must have completed or currently completing a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program.
