Residency Program:

• ACGME approved General Surgery Residency Program
• Three PGY1 residents starting in 2024

Trauma Program:

• 793-bed facility
• Level I (State of VA) & ACS Level II
• Central Virginia's busiest adult and pediatric ER (95k annual volume)
• Trauma service covers 100% emergency general surgery
• High volume trauma (90% blunt and 10% penetrating)

Trauma Surgeon Criteria:

• Board Eligible / Certified General Surgery with Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Required
