Abdominal/Body Imaging ‘7 on/7 off’ Faculty Position - Department of Radiology 

 

The Abdominal/Body Imaging Section of the Department of Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible radiologist, who has successfully completed an Abdominal/Body Imaging Fellowship program and is eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.

  • Passion for providing high-quality patient care with proficiency in body CT, body MR, and ultrasonography,  
  • Interest in actively participating in scholarly activities which could include education, quality, and/or research.   
  • The ‘7 on/7 off’ shift is a creative staffing option that provides a one week on, one week off rotation. Running Friday through Thursday, hours are Fr, Mon, Tues, Wed Thur 3p-9p clinical, 1-3p academic time, and Saturday and Sunday 1p-9p. This shift can be done either remotely, onsite, or hybrid.  Primarily responsibilities include reading ICU patients, Emergency Department patients, and Urgent Care patients.

  • The Department of Radiology is recognized as a progressive and forward-thinking team that continues to expand with a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. MCW Radiology offers a hybrid model allowing faculty to read and work in both the academic and community settings. 
  • The Abdominal/Body Imaging Section includes 26 fellowship-trained faculty who specialize in body computed tomography, sonography, magnetic resonance imaging, and fluoroscopy. In addition, the section provides image-guided interventional services for percutaneous biopsy and drainage procedures.  
  • The Department of Radiology provides post-graduate fellowships (including an Abdominal/Body Imaging fellowship with up to six positions per year), a diagnostic radiology residency program, and medical student elective clinical rotations. 
  • Access to cutting edge CT, MR and US technology with opportunities to work in collaboration with basic research scientists and a major equipment vendor in the Milwaukee metro area. 
  • Collaboration is the foundation for how we work within our department and with others across the organization.  Our Radiology team includes 90 clinical faculty radiologists, 11 imaging science faculty, 15 instructor/fellows, 45 residents, 15 advanced practice providers, and 69 support staff.
