Baptist Health Medical Center- Arkadelphia (BHMC-A) is recruiting a hospitalist to join an existing hospitalist program. The program provides care to general medical patients in this 25-bed critical access hospital. This is an immediate need opportunity.  BHMC-A is one of eleven hospitals in the Baptist Health System which is the largest healthcare provider in the state of Arkansas.

The ideal candidate will be a Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician. The position is employed by Arkansas Health Group, a subsidiary of Baptist Health. The schedule is Monday through Thursday (24/7 availability during that time). Two local Internal Medicine and 1 Pediatrician pick up weekends and other dates as needed. There is an average of 12-15 patient encounters per shift.

The offer is a base salary with a competitive benefits package. There is also an opportunity to earn incentive compensation based on patient satisfaction, quality, RVU’s, and medical staff committee involvement.

Arkadelphia is located 60 miles southwest of Little Rock with a population of over 11,000. Arkadelphia is also home to two universities: Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist. The town's recreation opportunities are plentiful with local spots such as a 78-acre park with picnic areas, a pavilion, outdoor basketball courts, softball and soccer fields to name a few. Nearby area recreation also includes DeGray Lake and the Ouachita National Forest.
