Opportunity Details

The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained from an accredited institution and ABIM Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, as well as Interventional Cardiology. It is preferred that the candidate have five or more years of experience post-fellowship with significant interventional volumes.

The candidate will be employed through The University of Kansas Health System, and will be a team member of Cardiovascular Specialists of Lawrence, a cohesive, collaborative group, enthusiastic about adding a 3rd Interventional Cardiologist.  Clinical expectations for this role will consist of four (4) days per week at the LMH Health location, with an equal 50/50 split of your time between the cath lab and in-clinic patient visits. Clinic is in attached building on the LMH Health campus.  Candidate will be a member of the hospital staff at both LMH Health and University of Kansas Health System and will be a member of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Division of Interventional Cardiology with an academic appointment.  Must live in Lawrence, KS.

There is a possibility of inpatient work, as well as an option for peripheral vascular intervention and non-Invasive imaging in the nuclear lab, if desired. The cardiac cath lab at LMH is a state of art facility. IVUS, Oribtal atherectomy, Coronary Lithotripsy, and support devices such as IABP and Impella CP are available. 

Additionally, the candidate will spend one (1) day per week in the cath lab at the University of Kansas Hospital main campus location.
