Baptist Health of Arkansas, in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking Gastroenterologists to join an existing team of three physicians. This is a new group and the recruitment need is growth related.

Currently all three physicians practice as GI hospitalists at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock (BHMC-LR). They also perform outpatient procedures but do not see patients in an outpatient clinic. The current model is each physician rotates through a week of being the primary hospitalist, a week as a secondary hospitalist, and a week off. The patient volume for both hospitalists is 40-60 patients per day. During the week that they are not in the hospitalist rotation they perform outpatient procedures in the BHMC-LR GI lab. The recruitment need is for a GI physician to practice in the outpatient clinic and to help with some inpatient work. The outpatient clinic is located in the medical tower adjacent to BHMC-LR. BHMC-LR is the 827-bed flagship hospital of the nine hospital Baptist Health System.

There is an additional recruitment need at Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway (BHMC-C), which is 22 miles from the Little Rock campus. The Conway recruitment need is for a GI hospitalist to join the existing group but to practice specifically in Conway with no outpatient clinic responsibility. BHMC-C is a 111-bed hospital that opened in September 2016.

AHG is the employed physician group for Baptist Health. As an employed position the compensation consists of a salary, production bonus, and quarterly quality incentives.
