Job Description

Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC full-time Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy to join our established Neurology practice at the Carle Neuroscience Institute (CNI) in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.

Practice opportunity details include:

  • Candidate must have completed an accredited Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship with a focus on epilepsy (1-2 years; 2 year preferred)
  • Candidate is expected to be involved in a combination of the following: 1) epilepsy clinic, 2) inpatient attending on the EMU and epilepsy consult service, 3) inpatient LTM EEG reading, 4) outpatient routine and ambulatory EEG reading, 5) epilepsy surgical planning, 6) teaching residents and medical students.
  • Candidate to join a team of 3 Epileptologists, 2 Epilepsy-trained Pediatric Neurologists, and 3 Epilepsy APPs
  • A growing 3-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU); 13 video long term monitoring EEG machines
  • Carle Foundation Hospital is a Magnet® Designated 489-bed Level I Trauma Center, Level 3 Epilepsy Center (working towards Level 4) with Level III Perinatal Services and is a DNV-accredited comprehensive stroke center
  • Candidates with strong research and teaching interests are encouraged to apply
