About The Position

Neuro-Oncologist:

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurosurgery, is seeking an experienced Neuro-Oncologist to join 2 other Neuro-oncologists and 12 neurosurgeons. This is a faculty physician scientist research position. 

Combining experience with leading technologies – including imaging and brain mapping – our specialists provide advanced, comprehensive care to people facing complex brain, spine and nervous system conditions.

Our deep expertise and sophisticated technology ensures no patient needs to leave Kansas City to receive the best possible neuro-oncologic care. Representing the premier academic medical center and tertiary referral center in our region, our physicians are driven to advance care options, continuing to research new treatments and teach the next generation of providers. People from across the country and from several nations around the globe have visited Kansas City to receive our leading care.

As passionate leaders and critical thinkers, our Neuroscience physicians apply the latest clinical and technological advances in diagnosing and treating complex disorders of the brain, spine and nervous system. Neurologists and neurosurgeons at The University of Kansas Health System are local and national leaders in their fields, working together as an interdisciplinary care team alongside the KU Cancer Center team, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Neurology or Oncology
  • Track record of successful NIH funding
  • Fellowship training in Neuro Oncology

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Special skills in brain tumors and chemotherapy

Neuro-Oncology Highlights:
