Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist Opportunity in Desirable Community of Saratoga Springs, NY
Saratoga Hospital Medical Group seeks a BC/BE Psychiatrist fellowship-trained in, or with significant residency exposure to Psychosomatic Medicine, or prior experience for our Consultation Liaison opportunity at Saratoga Hospital.
Work as the lead for a consultation service of a 171-bed community hospital with 19-bed state-of-the-art ICCU, 12-bed Labor and Delivery unit, medical surgical units, and more. Current team consists of a full-time LCSW. The hospital would like to expand services for mental health treatment in areas of substance use disorders, delirium, CHF/MI/COPD admitted patients. Enjoy a close, collaborative working relationship with nursing staff, hospitalists, specialists and palliative care service.
This is an opportunity to work with a close-knit, experienced, multi-disciplinary care team on a 16-bed adult inpatient unit and with emergency department and hospital staff for the consultation liaison service.
All physicians take inpatient call for a 16-bed inpatient adult mental health unit. Call is paid and approximately 1:10, taken evenings by phone with rounding on weekends.
Psychiatrists are part of a collegial team that includes Nurse Practitioners in a variety of settings, hospital-based and outpatient at these locations: Saratoga Community Health Center, Wilton and Milton Primary Care, Saratoga County Mental Health. Psychiatrists work closely across the system with physicians and advanced practitioners in our primary care and specialty network as part of Saratoga Hospital Medical Group.
