Salina, KS; Pediatric Physician Opportunity

Salina Pediatric Care/Salina Regional Health Center is now seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join our dynamic practice.

Opportunity

  • Work with a fantastic group of 5 pediatricians and 3 APP's
  • 4.5 days per week
  • 5 call shifts per month
  • Inpatient and outpatient
  • Excellent ancillary staff in clinic and in NICU
  • TEACH! Salina has Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency and KU School of Medicine-Salina!
  • Open to J1 and H1 Visa candidates who have completed an American residency!

  • Kid friendly clinic
  • Clinic across the street from the hospital, making life convenient for provider
  • Pediatric neurologist on-site
  • Pediatric Hospitalist Coverage 
  • Multiple resources in the area that promote healthy parenting

Women & Children's Unit

  • Level II NICU that delivers 100 babies a month
  • Locked unit
  • 8 labor & delivery rooms, 16 postpartum rooms
  • Many of the rooms have a queen size bed so dad can stay too
  • Emergency OR on woman/children's floor
  • Family Medicine Resident on floor on during the day
  • Deliver babies 34 weeks and up

Pediatrics Wing

  • Five bed pediatric wing
  • Pediatric inpatient average is 3 to 5  
  • 24 hour video surveillance

  • Specialties available for patients include; 24/7 cardiothoracic surgery, 24/7 neurosurgery, oncology, neurology, pulmonology & more!
  • Primary Stroke Certification received in 2017

  • In June 2018 SRHC received Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology.
  • In January 2017 SRHC was awarded Primary Stroke Certification by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP).  
  • In May 2016, SRHC launched Salina Regional Orthopedic Clinic, a comprehensive orthopedic clinic with a focus on sports medicine.    
  • In January 2016 SRHC launched a telemedicine service line, Vcare, to include behavioral health, nutritional & diabetic counseling and general surgery.

  • June 1, 2013 COMCARE, a family medicine clinic, joined Salina Regional Health Center. We now employ 80 physicians and 50 advanced practice providers.
  • Fall 2013 SRHC completed a new 18 bed Intensive Care Unit. This expansion comes on the heels of our $70 million dollar six story patient tower and 26 bed Emergency Room.
  • In 2013 SRHC achieved Level III Trauma verification from the American College of Surgeons.
  • Salina is home to the University of Kansas School of Medicine Salina campus and to KU Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • SRHC has been recognized for our commitment to quality care, community service and state-of-the-art medical equipment with additions of a PET Scan, 128 slice CT, da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, HALO Ablation Catheter and coming soon a new Brain Lab.
