Based in North Platte, Nebraska, Great Plains Health is a fully independent, community-owned, 116-bed acute care regional medical center serving west central Nebraska and northern Kansas. With over 100 physicians representing nearly 30 medical specialties, the Great Plains Health system offers advanced medical services, including heart and vascular, wound healing center with hyperbaric chamber, full service cancer center and Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit. Our system includes 19 hospital-based clinics, an urgent care, family medicine and pediatrics. Our providers perform outreach in 24 critical access hospitals in Nebraska and Kansas. Great Plains Health is a level III trauma center with all of its emergency room physicians board certified in emergency medicine.
