Summary
Faculty Position: Section Head of Breast Pathology
The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Section Head of Breast Pathology. This is a full-time position and rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates must have completed a fellowship in Breast Pathology. The successful candidate will have a track record of clinical and academic excellence with experience in high volume multidisciplinary university clinical settings. National/international recognition of breast pathology subspecialty expertise is desirable. The ideal candidate must have a focus on diagnostic excellence performing at a standard commensurate with a major academic center.
Responsibilities:
Candidates will primarily participate in breast subspecialty sign out, interact with physicians, medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in Pathology Tumor Boards. In addition to a division specific focus, the position may, depending on candidate’s experience include some responsibilities in other subspecialties, cytopathology and/or frozen sections. The successful candidate will have opportunities to join established basic research programs, with excellent opportunities for translational research in areas of interest. Opportunities are available for personal direct expert consult case compensation.
Requirements:
Successful applicants must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology. Possess active FL MD Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida is required. Completed Fellowship training in Breast Pathology required.
