Psychiatrist Needed for Partial Hospital Program, Brown Academic Appointment Optional

Brown University Health has an opportunity for a board certified or eligible psychiatrist interested in joining our Partial Hospital Program. This intensive, short-term treatment program based in ACT therapy helps adults who are facing mental health challenges and issues that impact their daily lives. This position will be based in Providence but can be done virtually as well. Our Behavioral Health team is robust, consisting of every psychiatric sub-specialty and includes psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and trainees.

About the position:

• The team consists of 11 psychiatrists, 18 psychologists, 6 master’s level therapists, 2 post-doctoral fellows, and 1 psychology resident
• Full time
• Work M-F, 8:00a-4:00p
• Work across multiple specialty tracks including general adult, young adult, borderline and emotional regulation, trauma specific, substance use disorders
• Call 1 weekend every 8 weeks (inpatient psychiatry at RI Hospital)
• Patients’ diagnosis includes but are not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders and personality disorders
• Outstanding administrative support
• Treat 8-12 patients per day depending on overall census for an average census of 9 patients daily
