The System Director of Radiation Oncology shall provide necessary leadership and direction to enhance the quality, image, and future growth of the Department. The primary responsibility of the clinical director of the radiation oncology facility will be to work with the System Director of Radiation Oncology/Director of Radiation Oncology Services of RWJBH to assure the successful and safe operations of the radiation oncology facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Director's responsibilities, as a member of Radiation Oncology Department, shall be subject to the direction of the System Director of Radiation Oncology and include but not be limited to the following:
The director will be expected to promote the facility by developing relationships with local referring physicians and will work with the local hospital and cancer center leadership to promote and grow the radiation oncology facility and other cancer related activities at the center. The director will collaborate with Rutgers CINJ affiliated faculty and staff to open relevant clinical trials and refer patients requiring more complex care such as proton beam, complex brachytherapy or other radiation options not available at the local facility.
