Inpatient Adult/General Psychiatrist Position in New Orleans, LA

River Oaks Hospital, a distinguished 126-bed psychiatric facility situated in the New Orleans, Louisiana suburbs, is actively seeking a Psychiatrist for our Inpatient Adult programs. As a leading private psychiatric hospital catering to adults, adolescents, and children, River Oaks is home to The New Orleans Institute, a trauma treatment program of national acclaim. Over the past four decades, we have built a legacy of superior care in treating a wide range of conditions, including acute psychiatric illnesses, dual diagnosis, detoxification from alcohol and drugs, trauma-related disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders.

Position highlights/duties:

• Position duties include; admission evaluations, daily care of assigned patients in the programs, treatment team leadership and interaction with administrative and clinical staff
• Shared weeknight and weekend call

Requirements:

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Psychiatry required
• Active LA license or ability to obtain a license
