Position Overview

The Inpatient Medical Oncologist (Oncologist Hospitalist) provides comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients with cancer, collaborating closely with outpatient/primary oncologists, advanced practice providers, nursing/support staff, and other specialists. This role involves overseeing and managing the acute medical care of hospitalized cancer patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy and clinical trials. The position requires handling complex medical conditions, coordinating multi-disciplinary care, and supporting the transition of patients from hospital to outpatient care.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
  • Strong clinical expertise in oncology diagnosis and management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, high-quality inpatient care.
