Pediatric Cardiology leadership opportunity at Children's Hospital of Michigan

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiologist for leadership opportunity.  We are looking for an established leader in pediatric cardiology with leadership experience and excellence in clinical, research and education.  

The Pediatric Cardiology team consists of 14 faculty members specializing in general pediatric cardiology, pediatric cardiac imaging, pediatric cardiac heart failure, interventional, and adult congenital as well as management of patients requiring a heart transplant. 

Invasive and non-invasive procedures available, including screening of children at risk of developing acquired heart problems, stress testing, color Doppler echocardiography, electrophysiology, pacemakers and cardiac catheterization.  Specialized programs include adult congenital heart services, a pulmonary hypertension program and preventive cardiology/lipid program. 

A leader in the surgical repair of congenital heart defects, with special expertise in the primary repair of heart disease in newborns and infants.  Leaders in the use of the Berlin Heart (the first ventricular assist device made specifically for pediatric patients), as well as Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). An entire spectrum of congenital cardiac surgical repairs including heart transplants are available.  A brand new dedicated Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is available to meet the needs of complex cardiac care.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • MD or DO degree required 
  • Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology 
  • Experience in fellowship training, education and career development  
  • 6-8 years of experience 
  • An interest in teaching and research  
  • Ability to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
