The State of North Dakota is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Forensic Pathologist to serve as a State Forensic Examiner. Position Highlights

• Caseload Management: Independently manage and perform approximately 200–250 autopsies annually, covering cases from 32 counties in western North Dakota.

• Public Health Emphasis: North Dakota’s low crime rate provides a rare opportunity to focus on broader public health trends in death investigation.

• Professional Collaboration: Work within a supportive and experienced medicolegal team committed to excellence and integrity in forensic services.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Forensic Pathology (ABP) is preferred; board-eligible candidates will be considered.

• Strong analytical thinking, objectivity, and a passion for uncovering the truth through scientific investigation.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement, attorneys, and public health officials.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $350,000

• Hiring Bonus: Up to $75,000

• Relocation Assistance: Reimbursement up to $5,000 with documentation
