Hospitalist Opportunity in Northwest Ohio with Mercy Health

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Hospitalist to join our growing team. This is a full-time position providing inpatient care with a 7 on / 7 off schedule, working 12-hour day shifts (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.). While the primary site of service is Mercy Health – St. Vincent, there is potential to pick up additional shifts at our Perrysburg location.

Position Overview:
The Hospitalist will provide direct patient care, perform histories and physicals, and assist with admissions. The role includes active collaboration with consulting providers and the broader care team to ensure seamless, high-quality care for hospitalized patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform admissions and H&Ps
  • Communicate and coordinate plan of care with subspecialty providers
  • Engage in team-based patient management
  • Participate in quality and ethical standards in alignment with BSMH's mission and vision
  • Work within a hospital-based setting, averaging 17–19 patient admissions per shift

Practice Details:

  • 7 on / 7 off schedule
  • Daytime shifts only (7a–7p)
  • No outpatient or clinic responsibilities
  • Collaborative hospitalist group with the opportunity to work alongside multiple specialties
  • Possible engagement in teaching activities with residents

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • ICU or Critical Care experience preferred
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
