Neonatologist – Level III NICU – Philadelphia, PA – Academic Appointment

 

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is recruiting a full time BC/BE Neonatologist to join our team.  As part of a multi-disciplinary and clinically integrated team you will provide care to the patients within our affiliated Level III NICU and Academic Medical Center in Philadelphia.

 

What you can expect:

  • Work in a Level III 26 bed NICU, average daily census of 18 babies
  • Approximately 2,500 deliveries a year and 400 NICU admissions. Caring for babies as young as 23 weeks gestation
  • 2 Neonatologists and 1 Physician Assistant – day shift, 1 Neonatologist and 1 Physician Assistant – night shift, NICU certified RNs, Social Workers, Nutritionists and tenured support staff.
  • 24/7 Neonatal Physician Assistants in NICU to provide support
  • Newborn Nursery is staffed by pediatricians.
  • The division has a strong commitment to quality improvement work and participates in the Vermont Oxford Network.
  • This strong team-based approach focuses on providing the highest level of quality care and delivers excellent health outcomes that exceed the national average for critically ill newborns each year.

Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Neonatology-Perinatal Medicine
  • Graduate of an ACGME accredited Pediatric residency & Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship program
  • Unrestricted PA medical license at time of employment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification for Commonwealth of PA
