Job Description

SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist to join our robust team of skilled professionals. This position is based at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI, with some shift support at St. Mary's in Janesville, WI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daytime Rounding Shifts: 7 am-4 pm (Monday- Sunday)
  • Evening Admitting Shifts: 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 12 pm to 4 pm.
  • Night Shifts: 10:30 pm-7:30 am.
  • Patient Care: Manage an average census of 14-15 patients with typically 1 admission per rounding shift.
  • Shift Distribution: For daytime/evening doctors, 30% of shifts are evening shifts, with the remainder being rounding shifts. Rounding shifts are typically 5-7 days in a row, with Monday as the switch day.
  • ICU Coverage: Madison has a closed ICU, while Janesville has a 4-bed open ICU with 24/7 eICU capabilities.
  • Full-time position: 200 shifts annually

Requirements:

  • Active unrestricted WI medical license.
  • Active unrestricted DEA.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
