Physician - Cardiology

 CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is seeking an Interventional cardiologist to help establish a new practice location in Sulphur Springs, TX.

The staffing model will include a Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinician and full office staff, including clerical and front office staff, medical assistants and nursing staff, managed by an experienced clinic administrative team.

The physician/APC team will provide 24/7 hospital coverage, with STEMI coverage to be determined by this local cardiology department. At the discretion of the local cardiologists, after-hours and weekend STEMI cases can be transferred by immediately available ground or air ambulance to other system facilities, freeing the clinical team from the necessity of providing 24/7 STEMI coverage.

CHRISTUS Mother Frances is a 94-bed community hospital with a busy 24/7 physician-staffed emergency room, an excellent cardiac Cath lab with full capabilities in invasive diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures and device implants, a critical care unit, a full hospitalist model and full noninvasive capabilities, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

This new team will join one of the largest multispecialty clinics in Texas as part of the CHRISTUS Healthcare not-for-profit system. The system includes over 1400 regional clinicians, 50+ cardiologists and APCs, and 7 hospitals serving 10+ communities. The clinic is a Texas 501a not-for-profit clinic with a 100% physician board of directors.

The clinic, hospital and health system have a strong, established dyad leadership model partnering physician and administrative leadership.

CHRISTUS Mother Frances's multispecialty clinic is rapidly expanding and currently includes 18 primary care providers, serving a primary/secondary referral base of 50,000+. Strong referral relationships exist with other physicians, APCs and emergency rooms.

Sulphur Springs is located 80 miles from Dallas and enjoys a strong and rapidly growing business base, excellent schools, a vibrant downtown, parks, sports fields, country club and multiple area amenities including popular lakes, walking trails and parks.
