Chief Medical Officer.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 1099/Independent Contractor arrangement with a daily case load of 16-18 adult and/or child/adolescent patients.
• Inpatient setting with a focus on regular rounding, admissions, discharges, and treatment team leadership.
• Outpatient setting is available if interested in extra income.
• CMO duties include administration, management, development and clinical work.  The ideal candidate will have Medical Director level experience and must have 3-5 years of clinical experience in an inpatient behavioral health facility.
• CMO monthly stipend is offered.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• MD/DO degree from an accredited program is required.
• Board certified in Psychiatry is required.
• Board eligible/certified in C/A Psychiatry preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the State of California or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
• Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to build a collaborative and supportive culture for our medical program.
• Strong management and proven leadership skills required.
• Ability to organize and facilitate meetings and outcomes.
• Willingly accepts direction in achievement of organization€™s objectives.
• Organizational skills, including working collaboratively with others.

The Medical Director position is a highly visible and active role. Some of the duties may include:

• Supervision to other physicians and clinical staff.
• Program development.
• Medical Staff and Executive Team committee and meeting participation.
• Quality improvement initiatives, risk management and service utilization management.
