Emergency Medicine Assistant Medical Director

An EM Assistant Director will have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team to deliver excellence in patient care. Assistant directors are expected to support the EM director in overseeing the operations of the emergency department in collaboration with the nursing staff and hospital leadership.

• Supports the EM Director in overseeing the operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration
• Helps with the supervision of the emergency medical staff, per the bylaws, policies, and procedures of the institution
• Represents the ED in the community and within the hospital medical staff

Salary

• Excellent compensation package with an estimated employed W-2 range of $163/hour to $302/hour. A 467-bed-not-for-profit teaching hospital with volumes of 45,000 adult and 12,000 pediatric visits annually. Member of Lifebridge Health Medical Services, along with Northwest Hospital Center and Grace Medical Center. Patient services include medical/surgical, acute, psychiatric and rehab and the hospital specialty is traumatic brain injury. Comprehensive stroke center with IR thrombectomy and 24/7 in-house neurology coverage. Affiliated with George Washington School of Medicine, functions as satellite medical school campus with brand new state of the art Sim Lab. The development of a brand new department with several new sections beginning to open currently is set to wrap up mid-2025. New enhancements will include larger clinical spaces, more in-department radiology resources, and a state-of-the-art design.

• Pediatric Center is a separate, child-friendly area with play areas, full-time pediatric emergency physicians and pediatric trained nurses

• The chest pain evaluation center is the cornerstone of one of the most advanced cardiac care facilities in the region
• Features extensive monitoring with the ambulance to hospital EKG transfer system and advanced cardiac stress tests
