The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join our Generalist Division as an Assistant Professor of Clinical. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide hands-on obstetric care while mentoring future physicians in a highly regarded academic setting.
Position Highlights:
- Labor & Delivery Focus – Provide direct inpatient care and consultations at Jackson Holtz Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
- Teaching & Mentorship – Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborative Environment – Work alongside a diverse team of specialists, subspecialists, and allied health professionals.
- Academic Excellence – Join a department with over 30 faculty members dedicated to clinical care, research, and education.
- Research Opportunities – Engage in patient-oriented, translational, epidemiologic, and health services research.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Cover 12 shifts per month on Labor & Delivery (6-day & 6-night shifts, including 2 weekends).
- Provide direct care for OB/GYN patients and inpatient consultations.
- Use Cerner for documentation and MobileCharge for billing.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
- Work at multiple sites, including Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Kendall Medical Center, Desai Sethi Institute, Doral Commons, and University of Miami Hospital.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License.
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
- Passion for patient care, teaching, and academic medicine.
